Known Superhuman Powers
(I1) Animate Image: Monstrous
75 range = column B =
He can apparently bring any
flat image to life. Whatever the original nature of the image —drawing,
painting, photograph, print— the image gains three-dimensionality and
independent movement. A blank white area now fills the area formerly occupied
by the newly solidified Image; this secondary Illusion lasts for 10-20 turns or
until the primary Illusion ceases to exist, whichever comes first.
The animated Image can exist
for as long as the hero concentrates on maintaining it (the Judge is free to
determine how easily this can be done given the circumstances the hero finds
himself in).
The Image possesses whatever
abilities or characteristics the original model possessed. At least, it
possesses those abilities or characteristics the hero believes the model
possessed, it conforms to his expectations. What traits the Image has are
determined by the hero's imagination and memory for detail.
The typical Animated Image is
an intangible holographic projection. Such Images are mechanically detectable
and recordable by such means as photography and television. Images can also
deceive the artificial senses of mechanical beings. The Animated Image is
initially strictly composed of light. His Speech-throwing power adds speech and
incidental noises to the image. The coherent light of the Image blocks normal
light and creates normal shadows.
Since the Image is intangible,
it cannot directly do physical damage to a target. If the Image incorporates
bright light, it has the potential of blinding the target.
Animated Images can be of any
nature, but are generally used to simulate moveable objects and lifeforms. In
all cases, the hero must have an actual image to work from. The Animated Image
that results is the same size as the original image. Not the entire model has
to be present in the original image; the hero can fill in the rest from his
imagination. As he brings the Animated Image to life, it climbs out of the
frame, revealing previously unseen parts.
The accuracy of the Image is
determined by the hero's Reason. A green FEAT creates an Image that is somehow
flawed; it might move the wrong way, lack a shadow, have no surface detail, and
so on. A yellow FEAT creates an Image that is nearly exact; a close visual examination
is required to distinguish the Image from reality. A red FEAT creates a perfect
Illusion.
(M1) Clairaudience: Good 10
The hero can hear distant
sounds and voices despite any intervening distance or barriers. The Power is
not hindered by factors that affect normal sound transmission, such as
distance, time lag, muffling, distortion, or the absence of a transmitting
medium. Clairaudience enables the hero to hear across a vacuum, for example.
Clairaudience can act as a
pipeline to direct another's Psionic or Sonic attacks toward the hero. Because
of this side-effect, the hero is -1CS to resist such attacks. These attacks
need not even be aimed at the hero but might still affect the hero if the other
Power is being used in the area the hero is spying upon.
When the Power operates, it
overrides the hero's natural hearing. Distant sounds are sensed at their
original volume level. If the volume is too loud the hero can reduce it with a
green FEAT. Faint sounds can be magnified by a yellow FEAT.
The Power is normally a
voluntary Power that must be summoned.
His
power is usable only in connection with his Image Animation power, so that he
hears through his illusions.[PHB Limitation: Ex]
(M2) Clairvoyance: Good 10
The hero can "see"
distant sights without directly seeing it with his eyes. The hero receives a
visual simulation of what he would see if he were actually present at the
scene. The Power is not hindered by any of the factors that affect normal light
transmission, such as distance, blockage, obscurement, and time lag.
When in use, the Power
overrides normal vision. Normally the Power is consciously controlled.
Clairvoyance can function as a
pipeline to draw light-based and Psionic attacks toward the hero. The hero has -1CS
resistance to such attacks. Such attacks may even affect him if they were aimed
at something else within the area he is spying upon.
His
power is usable only in connection with his Image Animation power, so that he
sees through his illusions. [PHB Limitation: Ex]
(M29) Speech-throwing: Good 10
The hero can make his voice
audible in a distant location, without the vocal soundwaves actually traveling
the intervening distance. The Power enables the hero to be heard
instantaneously at any distance, despite any barriers to normal sound
transmission. The only barriers that stop this Power are those that interfere
with Psionic Powers. The hero has 100% accuracy, provided he can somehow sense
the target area. This is commonly provided by such Powers as Clairaudience and
Clairvoyance.
His
power is usable only in connection with his Image Animation power, so that he
talks through his illusions. [PHB Limitation: Ex]

allergy: darkforce
effect: power negation
duration: if he is exposed to
darkforce, his power weakens by the Intensity of that source. This affects not only
the Image Animation, but the other powers as well. Over time he will adapt to
this disturbance, and regain control. This needs to be repeated every time he
meets a new source.

Character Proposal
His mother was born is
His father studied archeology,
and during that he worked as a security guard in a museum. After the thesis he
switched, and worked for the museum as an archeology expert.
They met an excavation, as
opponents, but we all know how a really good relationship starts in the movies.
And that happened here, too.
His mother calmed down a
little, went into school, and now she is a journalist, who writes revealing
articles about environmental insults. His father still an archeologist, but he
does his work with greater care for the surroundings of the excavation.
Their wedding happened 3 years
after their meeting, 1 year later
Rafael was a very talented
drawer even in his very youth, but as many other children; he wanted to be a
stage magician first. He practiced to his 11th year, when he saw
capoeira dancers for the 1st time. He dropped the mage’s cape
instantly, and headed to the street. This obsession still lasts, and he is
talented in this sport/dance/martial art, too. Sure, his family wasn’t so
happy, but his grades were stable, so they didn’t put obstacles into his way.
At the beginning of his teens,
roughly around his 13th year was the 1st time when his
powers awakened, one o his drawings became alive, and chatted him. He thought
that he might become insane, mainly because no one believed him. Later he
noticed that isn’t a bad thing if no other person knows about his “specialty”,
so he can achieve many things without notice. So he spied hearkened, frightened
with his cartoon bugs, little animals, or later –when his power got stronger–
bigger monsters.
He became interested in
tattoos through the drawing. His buddy proposed him into a saloon as a talented
and dexterous drawer, which are very handy if someone wants to work with
tattoo-needles. First he had only drawn the patterns, but nowadays he chums the
needles as well.
On his own skin he has only 3
self-drawn designs, a jade green jaguar <called Rasgar> (on his chest), a
griffin (on his back) and a dolphin (on his left calf).
After he left high-school, he
went into an art school, where he could develop his drawing skills.
He met with Carmilla during
the years when he spent so many hours on the street with his friends from the
capoeira club and the Silverfangs. First he was charmed by the girls’ hair and
shape, but later by her personality, too. He helps her out wherever he could,
cheers her up with his “special” home theater, and such things. They became
friends at last.
Years after, when Carmilla
joined the SHIELD, they still maintained their friendship. Through her the
organization became aware of Rafael’s powers and abilities, and got contact
with him, but not so high levels.
