Aelora was born in an other Dimension, on Paradise which was being re-populated and re-built after the Iron Knights defeat by the Trees formed from the tears of Nalee. It happened decades ago, counting their own time so the little girl heard only tales from their once-enemies and killers, never had the misfortune to meet them.
Her family lived outside the Rose Wall, in one of the recently planted villages which were made inhabitable with hard work and sorcery. Her father was a farmer, while her mother was a herbalist with low-key magical abilities. Those were enough to help the plants grow healthier in spite of the poor soil but nothing fancier. The little girl was different, though, her bright green hair growing constantly and fast, being insanely curious for hidden things and rarely found, ancient scrolls and glyphs. This caused trouble more often than not and so soon she was brought to the capital to learn from the mages there.
She proved to be an apt student, absorbing any text and test she was set against. She grew into a promising young sorceress in quick succession, acchieving the rank of Adept at the age of 18. With that, she was one of the youngest ones, ever in the history of the Greens, her people.
Aelora took out to explore the devastated lands left after the Knights' defeat, digging up stuff for the people, helping the expansion and easing their lives. During this phase she developed formidable skills in defending herself in spite of her frail stature, and to enter barred or sealed places after scrying them out.
She gave away all of her findings - after examining them and learning what she could - except a fist-sized emerald which captured her soul, and after some careful poking and identifying revealed itself as a magical stone, allowing her to transform into any shape and form she could imagine.
After a few years, earning a reputation and blooming in power she discovered a path to the Crossroads sensing the lingering trace of a spell which transported the Mighty Hulk to there and then back anno. She peered through the veil of the worlds and got curious, then using her spell-set in a newly warped way entered the roads.
She ended up on Earth, charmed by the rich life and all that diversity in the people. She roamed mostly Egypt's sand where se surfaced - gathering a new bow for herself and meeting some of the divine on the way, including but not limited to Inpewt, Serket and Meretseger [in the form of mortal guises, of course], during her adventures for recovering lost knowledge -, then she moved to North-East, to the lands of Israel & the Dead See and that was where she met with her untimely end.
In a cave where she entered after a promising lead for more scrolls she encountered a fierce protector-demon what she could not defeat nor escape from and so she died. The friendship she built with some of the Heliopolitans she was saved from the fate of being a slave for said demon and got a way of peace in their palace, but she was barred from the land of the living nonetheless.
Until a young man with promising abilities and a dark future did not die in a land far away, on the other side of the Pond, that is. He did the unfortunate move within the boundaries of a sacred circle of Anubis, Inpewt husband (or other aspect - hard to follow with the Gods) and he decided to give him an other chance, lighting the handful spark of magical talent in him as well.
He stumbled on his way a lot, learning what he could gather from any source until he came to Egypt and thus a deal could be arranged. A trick, one would say, since the scroll which held the spell what linked Aelora and the young man was placed by intent there where he looked after a new piece of stuff in his quest to develop more spells and learn more about the magic community.
But that did not count, the young woman had the opportunity to counteract with the real world again, even if it was acchievable only this very limited way, summoned by the the mage to his aid. She taught him, slowly and with care, with the secret goal to train a weapon against the demon she lost to and thus recover her equipment and maybe find a way to live again.
