History:
Kalani is the second girl in the family, she has a 3 yrs older sister. Her father is true Hawaiian, working as a fireman. Her mother is a waitress, and is half-blood, since her mother isn't from Hawaii. Kalani has a great family, as his father has one older brother also with family, her mother has two brothers, but only one of them lives on the island. Uncle Michael works as guide and as a diving instructor.
She loved the ocean from her toddler days, was always at ease in the water and also loved the old dances and songs what her grandma taught her. She had good memory for the ancient beliefs of her father's people and that earned her some credit both in the school and in the community as well.
Then everything went south, when her mutation began to surface, right in the middle of the anti-mutant, anti-super turmoil, over the spring and summer of '84. Her family stood with her, but the flocking tourists and many of the residents saw only the mutant and not the earlier smart and pretty little girl.
Unknown to her and forgotten by her family, Uncle Michael had some military background and through those, he knew Wolverine. He contacted him and asked for help. Logan was preoccupied with events in Japan in connection with his former lover, Mariko, but he sent his student-team for the girl's rescue...
