Known Powers:
Biophysical Control: Un, Elixir is capable of controlling the biological structure of his own and other people's bodies. He is theoretically capable of rewriting someone's genetic structure at will. His ability works by close proximity - he tends to touch his targets, but can heal through clothing. However, he has yet to reach the full potential of his powers.
-Disruption: In, he can cause painful boils and welts to appear, an ability that will most likely result in the death of his target.
-Genetic Detection: In, Josh is able to detect abnormalities in living beings: he detected techo-organic cells in Angel's body, detected Karma in another's body on a traning session, and even sensed the effect of magical inversion on Pixie.
-Healing: Am, at first he was capable of basic healing, having successfully healed broken bones, severe burns and even a mortal stab through the chest.
-Regeneration: Am, After spending almost a year in the Institue, his power has grown considerably, now he can re-grow lost limbs or organs

Limitation:
-Using his powers for extreme feats of biological manipulation (above Incredible Intensity) can wear out his body, causing him to collapse (Yellow Psyche FEAT to remain conscious)
-If he uses his power to damage, his skin turns black and he'll be more agressive afterward. He has to pass a Yellow Psyche FEAT to convert back to his original golden skin and behavior

Elixir using his destructive power

History:

Josh was always a golden boy -- good at sports, admired by his friends and attractive to girls. Josh also happened to be the popular one who would often pick on the the outcasts, and was also once a member of a mutant hating group, The Reavers. During his first meeting, Donald Pierce was demonstrating his blade arm and sliced Josh across the hand. The injury immediately healed itself and Josh dismissed the incident. When the Reavers conducted an attack against the students of Xavier's, specifically Moonstar's New Mutants Squad, Josh's friend was injured. It was at this time that Josh discovered he had the ability to heal. Although at first Josh tried to hide this secret but eventually he decided to to use his ability for the greater good when he healed Wallflower, after she was attacked by Pierce. While he was reluctant to accept Avila Moore's offer to come to Xavier's, he eventually accepted when both his his family and friends rejected him for being a mutant. Josh's parents eventually signed over full custody to the school and Avila Moore became Josh's legal guardian.
